Spittin out tides of dreamy hits, delivered with a sensationally mouth-watering and energetic live performance, it's a guarantee you'll leave the spot SOAKED when these glazed east side Austin slackers take the stage!
After dropping out of UT-Austin and meeting amidst Hotel Vegas and other Austin venues, Soaked began as a collaboration between guitarists Jimmy Minter and Maxx Eaton. Oskar Mead soon joined on drums, and the band quickly progressed from house show gigs around the UT campus area between shifts at local pizzerias to high energy sets for opening slots with national touring artists like Jacuzzi Boys. Soon thereafter, their sound caught the ear of Matthew Melton from Warm Soda and Bare Wires who produced a series of songs at his Fuzz City Studio that became the basis for their ten-track debut album, Don't Wanna Wake Up Today. With plenty of warm reverb, a hint of glam, and easygoing slacker-surf vibes, it captures in its own way the essence of chill and wild summer days alike.
In addition to Yippee Ki Yay Records, the album will also be making its way onto cassette via the California-based independent label, Burger Records.
